I took my nieces thinking it would be a great holiday thing to do with them, and although the dancers were great, it was a little long. You really need to enjoy the ballet to appreciate because we were pretty bored by the end.

The dancing was OK, and we did not expect topnotch. The recording chosen was not great and the sound needs improvement. But it was fun and different, with the magic and aerialists. The theater is lovely, and the price was unbeatable.

Media City Ballet of Los Angeles presents a spectacular production of holiday favorite The Nutcracker.  Playing the role of Herr Drosselmeyer, professional magician Craig Dickens will dazzle audience members of all ages with illusions; the show also features aerialists from Hollywood Aerial Arts.  The ballet corps includes several New York City ballet alumni.
