This ribald classic depicts the British underclass striving to achieve love, money and prestige, by hook or by crook. Macheath is a lady’s man and thief whose loyal wife and saucy girlfriend battle for his favors while their quirky and conniving parents conspire to do him in and steal his pilfered fortune. In the eleven years that the Full Circle Opera Project has been in existence, it has developed into one of the finest high school based opera programs in the nation. Under the skilled leadership of Ms. Stephanie Vlahos, an elite group of students at LA Arts High have deepened their love for all forms of music and honed their talent and their professionalism to extraordinary levels. Earlier FCOP productions that have thrilled audiences include Street Scene, Annie, Candide, Marriage of Figaro, West Side Story, Cinderella, Orpheus in the Underworld, and Tales of Hoffman.
