Ray Cooney's outrageous farce Run for Your Wife was a huge favorite on London's West End, where it enjoyed a nine-year run. Now the zany comedy travels across the pond so Denver audiences can enjoy the broad physical comedy and sassy adult humor. It's the story of British cabbie John Smith, who juggles two wives in two different areas of London. To maintain his double life, he has to keep a very precise schedule, which is thrown off-kilter when he's mugged and ends up in the hospital. When the police are given two different addresses for the victim, Smith must try to keep himself out of trouble with both of his wives, an upstairs neighbor and the cops. Learn More

The film had some great qualities, but the script needs some re-working to make the story move at a better, more attentive pace, as well as provide more intriguing "mind games" in time travel (as implied in the trailer). I liked the post-film format of a Q and A session with the filmmaker, and I welcome the opportunity to support first-time and independent filmmakers in the future. Thus, the Film Festival Flix venue, and Landmark's sponsorship, impress me. We will certainly try to attend future showings for those very reasons!
