Cheap Trick ("I Want You to Want Me," "Surrender") Plays Top Hits With a Live Orchestra
Still going strong after nearly 40 years, the Rockford, Ill.-based Cheap Trick continues to rock with the best of them, and the group is bringing its high-energy tour to the Ravinia Pavilion. In this performance, the group will be playing in full two of their biggest hits -- 1979's Cheap Trick at Budokan and 2009's Sgt. Pepper Live -- with a full orchestra. Cheap Trick was ranked No. 25 in VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock, so you know the group will bring the noise. It may not be Cheap Trick Day in Illinois (that's April 1), but the group will make the most of its homecoming at this concert.

I made the mistake of getting a prepared Greek salad from the Ravinia Market. This "Greek" salad had a total of 2 olives, and about a teaspoon of tiny feta cheese crumbles. It had no peppers. But it had gobs of chickpeas - a cup of them. The offerings at the Market are overpriced in the first place, compared to what you can get from, say, Mariano's, but the salad itself was not worth half the price. When I told the manager, his reaction was "I'll tell the staff" and "is there anything else we can do for you?" Well, the answer to that second question is "no, not now or ever."star this tip starred
