Aaron Copland's Pulitzer Prize-winning Appalachian Spring, commissioned by choreographer-dancer Martha Graham, headlines this Los Angeles Philharmonic performance at the Hollywood Bowl, which also includes Maurice Ravel's Mother Goose suite and Samuel Barber's Violin Concerto. Conductor Ludovic Morlot will bring to life Copland's orchestral suite, which brings to mind images of majestic American vistas. The evening opens with Ravel's interpretation of the magical world of fairy tales, and continues with one of the most popular 20th-century concertos, Barber's Violin Concerto, featuring Simone Porter. The night culminates with a breathtaking new fireworks display.

and park at the lots available on Hollywood and Highland Ave. Cheaper and all you have to do is take a short walk up to the Bowl. Mind you it is all upill, so please wear comfortable shoes e.g. boots, flats, sneakers. If not, I'd pack some flats for walking and put your cute shoes on at the concert. :)star this tip starred
