It's the rare rock band that can boast having a guitar legend wailing away on solos. The Yardbirds have had three: Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck. First hitting it big as part of the British Invasion, The Yardbirds combined blues influences with electric fuzz to help create the psychedelic sound of the '60s. It's no accident that they make an extended, guitar-smashing cameo in the swingin' '60s film classic Blow-Up: they personified the scene on hits like "For Your Love," "Heart Full of Soul," "Shapes of Things" and "Over Under Sideways Down." Today, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group is still going strong, led by founding member Jim McCarty and made up of killer musicians who've played with the likes of Bob Dylan, Billy Idol and Peter Wolf (of The J. Geils Band). Now you can take a time machine back to that magical era when The Yardbirds hit the stage for this concert at Los Angeles' Fonda Theatre.
