The orchestra was fantastic, but there were so many other factors that put us off that we left at the first intermission. The persona of Bond is about style, class, and a sharp mind, but conductor Michael Krajewski laced the program with comedy that was more reminiscent of Benny Hill. Debbie Gravitte’s performance had a show tunes quality and never once compared to the original sound tracks. Overall the performance we saw was unexpected and unfitting. Had the orchestra been made the focal point of the evening it would have been extraordinary.
Food and drinks are available in the hall. The in-lobby Encore Café serves a mix of salads, paninis, pastas and tapas, as well as desserts, coffee and water. Bars offer a full range of alcoholic beverages.
