Slayer: Thrash Metal Legends on Final Tour
It's seriously now or never to witness a legendary live show from one of the most influential hard-rock bands in history. After close to 40 years of heavy-metal mayhem, Slayer says they're hanging up their axes for good after this final world tour -- which also happens to feature Lamb of God, Anthrax, Behemoth and Testament. First attracting attention with their 1986 album Reign in Blood, Slayer helped define the sound of American thrash metal. In the years since, they've released more than a dozen albums, won two Grammys, appeared in an exhibit at the Smithsonian and even played The Tonight Show -- a pretty amazing feat for a group whose darkly-themed lyrics and album art have caused controversy for decades. You'll no doubt hear ragers from their latest album, 2015's aptly-titled Repentless, along with longtime favorites, in this massive show at FivePoint Amphitheatre in Irvine.
