Born into a four-generation touring bluegrass family, brothers John Abrams (vocals, guitar, mandolin, keyboard, percussion) and James Abrams (vocals, violin) -- with cousin Elijah Abrams on bass -- have been performing on stage with the family since they were children. Now at the ages of 19 and 22, John and James have already become the youngest Canadians to perform at the Grand Ole Opry. Influenced by the Louvin Brothers, Tony Rice, The Beach Boys and Neil Young, The Abrams Brothers fuse bluegrass with country and folk-rock. Their latest album, Northern Redemption, draws on the landscapes of the Canadian wilderness and taps into the themes of love, loneliness and restless ambition. It features nine original songs and a beautiful, bluegrass version of Coldplay's "Viva La Vida."
