The brunch cruise is a great way to entertain out of town visitors and get a different view of the area. This was my third brunch cruise on Waterways Cruises and first from the Kirkland marina. The food was changed for the better in the last cruise--not that it was horrible before. The service is always excellent and friendly. The captain also gives excellent narration and provides a smooth ride. I prefer the Lake Union departure simply because the cruise will cover a few more interesting areas like the Dinosaur skeleton, Windows 2000 home and Sleepless in Seattle home. That being said, I also enjoyed the Kirkland departure as you still get to see mostly the same cruise, but with more convenience for anyone on the east side. Ideally, Waterways could expand the Kirkland departure to cover the same ground as the Lake Union departure.
Overall, Waterways Cruises does a great job with the Sunday Brunch Cruise and I am happy to see that they are making improvements.
