Loved all the excitement and the concert as well. We arrived on a motorcycle and got free parking right in front of the green zone entrance.

Concerts Information:

Concerts are each free to race ticket holders for that day. The concerts are held at 6:45 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights on the outdoor stage which is just outside of the Long Beach Performing Arts Center’s Terrace Theater.

Friday, April 15 at 6:45 pm

The Tecate Light Fiesta Friday Concert will feature “Nortec Collective Presents: Bostich & Fussible.” Consisting of Ramon Amezcua (“Bostich”) and Pepe Mogt (“Fussible”), the duo emerged from the burgeoning Tijuana electronic scene.

They perform a style of music they invented called Nortec – a fusion of Norteno (“from the North”) and Techno, documenting the collision between the style and culture of electronica music, characterized by dance beats fused with traditional forms of Mexican music.

Over the years, they have garnered multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy nominations and toured the globe, gracing the stages of Coachella, Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, the Opening Ceremony of the Pan American Games, Austin City Limits, Hollywood Bowl, SXSW, Glastonbury, Roskilde and other venues in a variety of countries.

Their latest album “Motel Baja,” is the third in a trio of albums under the “Nortec Collective Presents: Bostich and Fussible” banner, following “Tijuana Sound Machine” and “Bulevar 2000.” They join an impressive list of past performers that includes Maldita Vecindad, Moderatto, Belanova, Aleks Syntek, and El Tri.

Saturday, April 16 at 6:45pm

The Saturday Rock-N-Roar Concert will feature Cheap Trick just one week after their April 8 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band has produced a series of timeless classics since their debut, including “I Want You to Want Me,” “Dream Police,” “Surrender,” and the late-1980s favorite, “The Flame."

Since the 1970s, Cheap Trick has blended elements of pop, punk and even metal in an instantly-catchy and recognizable format that has made the band a musical institution. Cheap Trick has given fans more than 5,000 performances, sold more than 20 million records, been featured in over 29 movie soundtracks and has been awarded with 40 gold and platinum recording awards. The lineup includes Robin Zander (vocals, rhythm guitar), Rick Nielsen (lead guitar), Tom Petersson (bass guitar), Bun E. Carlos (drums) and Daxx Nielsen (drums – touring).

Reminder to all that concert space is subject to space availability and please arrive early to make sure that you will not miss out on either of these amazing shows.
