Scientist/Magician Kim Silverman on The Science of Magic
It might seem like magic and science are incompatible, but magician and research scientist Kim Silverman says that's not true. Drawing on his background in science, technology and cognitive psychology, he transforms magic from mere "tricks" into something scientifically meaningful. In this lecture, Silverman will talk about the ways in which science and magic intersect, and how each discipline can help us understand and improve the other. Silverman holds a Ph.D. and serves as principal research scientist at Apple, as well as president of the Society of American Magicians.
