We did have a very good time, but it is true that some of the restaurants could have been a bit more welcoming and better prepared,since we started our tour at 3:30pm. Lemonade and Joe's were tops

The event was absolutely fantastic. It wasn't too crowded and there were a lot of choices.

The samples ranged wildly from a "shot" of ratatouille to a big bowl of sashimi and seaweed.

The Taste of Abbot Kinney is a walking, eating, drinking tour of some of Los Angeles’  most celebrated restaurants, Venice’s local favorites and undiscovered gems.  Restaurants include Joe’s, Primitivo, Lilly’s, 3 Square, Jin Patisserie, The Tasting Kitchen, Wabi Sabi, Lemonade, Capri, Beechwood, Intelligentsia Coffee, J’s Organic Kitchen, N’ice  Cream, The Equator Cafe, The French Market Cafe, and Marla’s.   Additional wine and beer tastings at The Otheroom, The Brig, and champagne tasting at Elvino.   The one price ticket includes food, wine, beer and spirits tastings at every venue and special discounts and freebies at Abbot Kinney stores and gyms.  A free shuttle will be available all afternoon.  All proceeds go to Inside Out Community Art, a Venice-based non profit that provides arts education to disadvantaged school children.   Ticket also includes admission to Joe’s cocktail mix-up with 5 bartenders in a  “Battle of the Bartenders” that night at 7 PM.   Visit the Taste of Abbot Kinney web site for a list of participating restaurants.
