I love American Dance Thea and everything they do. This proves another great production.

Took my mother to the Saturday matinee performance and we both enjoyed it immensely. She is 97 and the performance was so entrancing (dancing, sets, costumes) that she stayed for the entire performance, which was over 2 1/2 hours.

Great dancing, silly story.--but you don't go for the story. Excellent founders circle seats. ABT shoudld be here much more often.

The dancing of the Slave was fantastic; he seemed to fly off the ground. The dancer who portrayed Conrad seemed more lead footed. Act 2 was the highlight for me but overall, I enjoyed the experience.

As usual, a great experience. Received word that there would be a long line for ticket pick-up and received my tickets by mail. there was, indeed, a very long line in the heat of the day that I didn't have to stand in. The ballet was a...continued

Loved the ABT Mixed Repertoire Julhy 11 at the Dorothy Chandler. It's 180 degrees different from the Bolshoi performances I've seen. Female dancers are all lithe and petite while the males are beefy and muscular. The artistry was beautiful, but...continued

This was a great evening of dance! Haven't seen ABT in a long while. Had never seen the complete Le Corsaire. Some fantastic jaw dropping dancing by the men. Wish I had seen more bravura from the ladies. Perhaps this wasn't the ballet for...continued

I don't know why, but I thought it would be more moving. The dancers seemed a bit automatonic, although skilled. The corps, in particular, seemed a bit bored. It didn't help that the story is ridiculous. The Pasha (associate artistic director of...continued

This was ABT's July Los Angeles tour opening night with Mixed Repertoire: two Balanchine pieces, Apollo and Symphony in C, and the Chamber Symphony choreographed by Alexei Ratmansky on Dmitri Shostakovich's music. All three are different from each...continued

Ballet excellent, but the Will Call line was practically to the Ahmanson and we had to stand in the hot sun for 20 minutes. One of the attendants said he never saw it that long before. The box office person said there was no problem, but I...continued

Beautifully done ballet with gorgeous sets. Daniil Simkin was the dancer who stood out the most - incredible jumps and leonine grace! The only thing that bothered me, and I've NEVER had this problem at the ballet before, was that you could hear...continued

Ballet does not get better than this. It was a beautiful evening of dance, design and music. The men were incredible with their athletic solos and the ballerinas were lovely. Several "oohs" and "ahs" were emitted by the nearly full audience.

The dancing was excellent. I especially enjoyed seeing the synchrony of the corps de ballet. However, the "story" of the Corsaire is a MESS. There were so many plot turns and sop much "acting," that it became tiresome. The most outstanding...continued

I love the ballet and the ABT. Don't know enough about the technical aspects of ballet to be a good critic, but I really enjoyed the Le Corsaire performance. Principal dancers were outstanding. I unfortunately got stuck in horrific traffic from...continued

The only negative... the audience was a little too exuberant and applauded throughout the...continued

The performance was terrific. ABT has a tremendous set of athlete/dancers, great costume and set designers, and a great orchestra. Le Corsaire has lots of color and opportunities for the dancers to show off. The pre-show talks are worth...continued
