The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess won the 2012 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. Now it's going on the road with members of the Broadway cast, a 23-piece orchestra and new interpretations of legendary songs from the original Porgy and Bess, like "Summertime," "It Ain't Necessarily So" and "I Got Plenty of Nothing." Porgy and Bess debuted in 1935 as a groundbreaking opera starring an entire cast of classically trained African-American singers performing the classical, jazz and folk music of George and Ira Gershwin. Now, the stirring tale of African-American life in South Carolina's fictional Catfish Row has been transformed into a modern musical by a powerhouse Broadway team: Tony Award-winning director Diane Paulus (Pippin, Hair), Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks (Topdog/Underdog), and two-time Obie Award-winning composer Diedre L. Murray (Running Man). Learn More

Big, full-out, live orchestra musical with absolutely delicious leading performers, a witty laugh-aloud book, and stylish production numbers in the best of old school style. I went with people from 22 to 91 and we all sat smiling through the whole show, and bought tickets to see it again the next weekend. Could not be better, an unqualified rave.

“Rachel York and the all-singing/all-dancing company of Anything Goes took me up to the heavenly gates with their spectacular performance.” -BroadwayWorld.com
“I challenge you to find a natural high greater than the first-act finale of Anything Goes, a giddy layer cake of tap-dancing sailors atop Cole Porter lyrics.”-_"_The New Yorker “:http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/culture/2011/12/what-makes-british-people-happy-sex-exercise-going-to-the-theatre.html

When the S.S. American heads out to sea, etiquette and convention head out the portholes as two unlikely pairs set off on the course to true love… proving that sometimes destiny needs a little help from a crew of singing sailors, an exotic disguise and some good old-fashioned blackmail.
Cole Porter’s roundup of nostalgic hits in the production include “You’re the Top,” “Friendship,” “I Get a Kick Out of You,” “It’s De-Lovely,” “Blow, Gabriel, Blow” and, of course “Anything Goes.” Anything Goes is getting rave reviews across America as it makes its way toward Los Angeles.
