The '90s greatest alt-pop-rockers are back Under the Sun
-- and under the stars -- at the historic Greek for their annual concert, which the Oakland Press
calls "an upbeat evening of nostalgia." Joining the party this year is Blues Traveler, led by singer and harmonica player John Popper. The band scored two multi-platinum albums with radio mainstays like "Run-Around" and "Hook." Also on the jam-packed bill are SoCal's own Sugar Ray, fronted by charisma-filled singer Mark McGrath. They've sold almost 10 million discs with their signature blend of rock, pop, hip-hop and reggae, and smash singles like "Fly," "Every Morning" and "Someday." Country-rocker Uncle Kracker hit the charts with upbeat singles "Smile," "Nobody's Sad on a Saturday Night" and "Blue Skies," while Under the Sun
tour mainstays Smash Mouth turned their pop-punk, third-wave ska and '60s rock mix into giant hits like "Walkin' on the Sun," "All Star" and their widely-loved take on the The Monkees' "I'm a Believer."
