Barry Manilow returns to his first love, writing musicals, with the much-anticipated Harmony. This musical story of the world's first hit boy band is based on the true tale of six talented young Germans who came together in the 1920s and took the world by storm. With a signature blend of sophisticated close harmonies and hilarious stage antics, the Comedian Harmonists were an actual group that sold millions of records, starred in films and packed the prestigious concert halls around the globe -- until the rise of Nazi Germany split them apart. Inspired by the story, Manilow and his co-creator, writer-lyricist Bruce Sussman, created this musical with an original score that celebrates this extraordinary group of friends and their quest for true harmony in one of the most discordant periods of world history. My expectations were exceeded for this musical! Sure, it was cheesy, but that's what "Bring It On" is all about. The dancing/cheer-leading routines were fun and the songs, once the main character got to the rival high school, were catchy.

Bring It On: The Musical is the explosive new musical comedy that raises the stakes on over-the-top high school rivalries. Set against the world of competitive cheerleading, this powerhouse new show hilariously proves that winning isn't everything when it means losing something -- or someone -- you really care about.
This all-new, original musical comedy combines an exciting new sound, gravity-defying choreography, and a thrilling story to create a show worth cheering for. It's "guaranteed to be everything you wished for, nothing like you expected, but exactly what you will love" (AOL.com). Game On!
The team behind this musical is an extraordinarily rare union of Broadway's most acclaimed, award-winning young creators. With an original book by Tony Award-winner Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q), music and lyrics by Tony Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights), music by Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning composer Tom Kitt Next to Normal and lyrics by Broadway lyricist Amanda Green (High Fidelity), this wholly original new musical is directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler (In the Heights).
