Master Puppeteer Joseph Cashore Recreates Life in Motion
Rarely has life been imitated with such precision, or with such pathos, as in the puppetry of Joseph Cashore. His hand-built marionettes contain as many as 44 separate strings, allowing him to replicate stunning effects: a horse galloping in slow motion, toes wiggling from the hole of a bum's shoe, a mother holding her squirming newborn, and many others. Cashore now brings his latest show Life in Motion to the Theatre Raymond Kabbaz. Set to the music of composers such as Beethoven, Vivaldi, Strauss and Copland, Life in Motion is a series of scenes taken from everyday life. This magical celebration of commonplace joys and sorrows is recommended for those 12 or older.
