A disclaimer: the audience loved this play; my friend and I were definitely in the minority. Harmony tells a remarkable story and one that's well worth telling. It just deserves BETTER telling - better writing and better music. The writing was so...continued

This was one of the greatest true stories and they somehow managed to screw it up. Mediocre is a generous description. This is the re-worked version. They should scrap it and start over only keeping the stage numbers which were good.

Review from theatre tickets

Seats were good as were the actors, the staging, the costumes and the lighting, etc. but the story was just okay. It was an interesting story but some things that were brought up in character dialogue were never explained. And unfortunately none of...continued

The orchestra was a little loud making hearing the "harmonies" difficult. Actually, I wasn't very impressed with their harmonies either. It was just ok.

Lush music, one or two numbers, especially the Liszt parody, hint at why The Harmonists were such hit in pre-WW2 Germany and Europe, great voices...The book is all over the place, the first act songs go on and on and on , the history is simply...continued

Comedian Harmonists should definitely have its story told, but I'm not sure if this musical does their story justice. Barry Manilow and Bruce Sussman placed a lot of effort into this musical; I'm surprised they never hit their stride. The book...continued

A bit long! Singing was wonderful but the songs all kind of sounded the same. Nothing that really wow'd me about the story or the music. This is my 3rd event from Goldstar and every time the tickets were easily picked up at will call without a...continued

I see a TON of musicals and plays and this was just average for me. While they were talented, this just didn't wow me. The one song that stood out was the duet with the women. That was stellar. The lead male could hold some notes well but I...continued

I found overall it to be a bit labored and tedious. There were maybe two numbers I thought were outstanding, the rest were kind of lackluster and the story itself needs some re-work for believability.

This show is wonderful. The plot is compelling, the music perfectly blended, and the lyrics stunning. I wanted to own the soundtrack right away! Based on a true story this isn't preachy or overwrought. The acting is superb and the sets very nice....continued

Poignant, Deeply Moving and Memorable!
You may not walk out humming any of the songs, but you certainly will be moved by "Every Single Day," laugh at "Hungarian Rhapsody #20" and cheer "Come To The Fatherland." Credit Barry Manilow and Bruce...continued

Great performances and a fascinating story. I really enjoyed myself. My only cautionary feeling was that the horrors of nazism have been portrayed more movingly in previous shows that I've seen. Cabaret immediately comes to mind.

One of the best shows I've seen. The moving story, lyrics, singing, choreography, were all excellent. I did not know about this group in Germany, apparently the Beatles of their day before the Nazis took over. I'm thinking of seeing it again.
