Hollywood Arms: A Play Based on The Childhood of Carol Burnett, From Kentwood Players
Based on One More Time, the memoir of Carol Burnett, and written by Burnett and her daughter Carrie Hamilton, Hollywood Arms takes place in 1941 and 1951 and follows three generations of women living in a dingy Hollywood apartment complex. The characters include a no-nonsense grandmother, an alcoholic mother determined to write for movie magazines, an absent father and a young girl who goes to the apartment rooftop to create her own world of show business dreams. Laurel Andersen, Mason Bromberg, Francesca Farina, Emma Hatton, Sam Huntington, Rich Little, Alice Lunsford, Joseph Roman, Cynthia Rothschild and Valerie Ruel star for director Lewis Hauser.
