Stooges Guitarist James Williamson Leads New Band
For more than 10 years as the guitarist for Iggy and the Stooges, James Williamson provided the incendiary licks that define hits like "Search and Destroy" and "Gimme Danger." The seminal proto-punk act was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and was featured in Rolling Stone's 100 greatest artists of all time. Now he's teamed up with Streetwalkin' Cheetahs vocalist Frank Meyer and Petra Haden to form James Williamson and the Pink Hearts, an indie rock trio with the unmistakable fire and swagger of the original Stooges. Touring in support of their debut album Behind the Shade, James Williamson and the Pink Hearts comes to The El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles.
