Le Salon de Musiques: German Romantic Music
One of L.A.'s true cultural jewels, Le Salon de Musiques is famed for providing up-close and personal musical performances in the warm, intimate environs of the fifth floor of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. This acclaimed chamber-music series continues its eighth season with romantic works for strings and piano by German genius composers Robert Schumann, Xaver and Philipp Scharwenka, performed by violinists Ambroise Aubrun and Chiai Tajima, violist Tanner Menees, cellist Timothy Landauer and pianist Francois Chouchan. Musicologist Julius Reder Carlson provides the introductions and context, and after the concert, you're invited to join the musicians for a Q&A and reception featuring champagne and a high-tea buffet.
