Wonderfully acted; tightly directed. Lots of fun inbetween the seriousness of the times. Brought back alot of memories of the Catskills!

Interesting play about the end of an era in the Catskills. I thought the actors were well cast and the performances were excellent. It fell short of a four star because I thought the play itself did not have sufficient depth.

“Very funny and surprisingly touching.” —Mel Brooks
“A poignant period piece with a very serious purpose. An unexpectedly wrenching play.” —Los Angeles Times

Spend a summer evening at Rosen’s Hotel in the Catskills, where a blacklisted writer, a classical pianist, a Russian dictator and a lovesick busboy listen to Beethoven, The Weavers and Stan Kenton.
