One of the most amazing sights in nature is that of majestic whales swimming and playing on the ocean's surface, leaping out of the water and slapping their mighty tales. On this 2.5 hour cruise off the shores of Newport Beach, you may see giant blue whales during the summer and fall months or the annual grey whale migration bringing tens of thousands of grey whales along the coast during the winter and spring months. Huge pods of several species of dolphin are very common as are the resident sea lions. You may also catch glimpses of seals, killer whales, sharks and many other marine creatures. With a 96% success rate, almost every cruise has many viewing opportunities. An added plus is picturesque coastal backdrops of Newport Beach, Laguna Beach and Huntington Beach. Learn More

The one downside was the music. They used an fm radio and it was hard to hear the music upstairs. No crowd interaction or participation. No entertainment by a DJ or MC. That said, the people at our table we a lot of fun, the drinks were good and priced well. the servers and bartenders were friendly and accommodating. My friends and I had the midori margaritas and were feeling no pain by the time the cruise ended. The favors were also nice. I would suggest smaller tables and more of them and possibly dancing or at least music to dance to if you chose. The didn't plany any "Danny Boy" music and no good 'ol irish singalongs as I would have expected. But as I said, with the good company and green drinks, we all had a fun time and would definitely do it again, especially for the price. The appetizers were also good and plentiful and were flowing as soon as we boarded the ship. It was enclosed, so we didn't get too chilly and we had a nice view of the marina. It was a beautiful night for a sail. The access to the ship was effortless and they validated our parking. It only cost $2 to get out of the Fishermans Wharf lot. I would recommend trying one of these 2 hour cruises. I plan on trying the brunch buffet sometime really soon.
