A Pair of Family-Friendly Plays: Peter and the Wolf & Peer Gynt
This afternoon of children's theatre from Erika Moon Productions and Momentum Dance features two separate stories for families to enjoy. First comes the classic folk tale: Peter and the Wolf. Comedy, drama and suspense combine to engage kids in a battle of wits as Peter and his friends, Bird and Duck, work together to capture the wily Wolf. Unique movements and music accompany each character, as a different orchestral instrument represents each member of the cast. Next up is a story from Norway by the name of Peer Gynt. Gynt, a young Norwegian man with a taste for telling tall tales, will tell children of his many exciting adventures, which include an enchanted forest filled with trees that try to trap him, a dance with a beautiful Arabian princess, and even a journey to the Hall of the Mountain King where he's threatened by terrible trolls. The shows will be followed by a workshop for children, included with the price of your ticket.
