The Singers might be one of the most modestly named choral ensembles in the country. Equipped with voices finer than any man-made instrument, The Singers have captured the ears -- and hearts -- of music lovers in the first decade of their existence. To celebrate their 10th anniversary, the chorus now presents Shining Night, a spectacular concert at the Cowles Center. Be swept away by Morten Lauridsen's Les Chansons des Roses and Benjamin Britten's Five Flower Songs and revel in the beauty of John Tavener's Funeral Ikos. To round out this varied and exhilarating program, The Singers will once again dip into the rich trove of American folk songs and spirituals. Experience why this talented group has called "easily one of the best choral ensembles in America." Learn More

I thought “Rumblings” just was phenomenal… best I’ve seen in quite a while. It was a combination of contemporary dance, vocalists and live musicians in a bunch of little bite-sized sets. Had a huge amount of emotional resonance. Being such a great performance, and with the crazy the amount of work that must have gone into it and a very short run (6 shows), it was so troubling to see many empty seats. So if Goldstar lists any more performances... definately go!
