Music legend Art Garfunkel has returned to the stage, and will stop at New Brunswick's State Theatre as part of his solo acoustic tour. As one half of the legendary duo of Simon & Garfunkel, his beautiful countertenor voice made a mark on the worlds of folk and rock 'n' roll. Songs like "The Sound of Silence," "Mrs. Robinson," "The Boxer" and "Bridge over Troubled Water" are known to generations, and earned the duo a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 1990. Garfunkel has gone on to a successful solo career, releasing 12 acclaimed albums and scoring hits with "All I Know," "Bright Eyes" and "Breakaway." Garfunkel has performed only rarely in the past four years, taking time off to recover from a vocal ailment, but his voice is now in its best shape in years -- and knowing Garfunkel's voice, that's quite good indeed.
