Intensity & Humor in Charlie and Sharon
Charlie and Sharon imagines an encounter in four scenes, spanning 1969 to the present day, when Sharon confronts Charles Manson, the mastermind behind her murder in his "Helter Skelter" plan for world domination. With dark and light sides, intensity and humor, Sharon puzzles through what is happening with help from the still-living Charlie, in turn making him face his crime. Not a zombie, not exactly a ghost, she just is -- and she needs to connect with Charlie, leaving him rattled as well as tantalized by her. Taking on love, desire, dreams and death, this version of Charlie and Sharon that played in Los Angeles, can now be enjoyed at New York City's Bridge Theatre at Shetler Studios.
