Blues Musician-Actor Chris Thomas King (Treme,O Brother, Where Art Thou)
Chris Thomas King brings the down and dirty blues to B.B. King's. Hailing from New Orleans, the roots guitarist and singer may be best known for his acting and musical appearance in the hit Coen Brothers film O Brother, Where Art Thou, which spawned his single "Hard Time Killing Floor Blues." The Grammy-winning composer has also appeared in Ray, 2008's Kill Switch and the HBO series Treme. And since his home was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, King released a album in response, called Rise. His latest disc is 2011's Antebellum Postcards, which continues the vintage theme. King was also the first bluesman to embrace the digital music revolution and the first to introduce hip-hop along with sampling and deejay-distorted electronica into the genre.
