The Homemade Jamz Blues Band play Lucille's Grill at Times Square's B.B. King Blues Club. The group started in 2004 in Tupelo, Mississippi, when 11-year-old singer and guitarist Ryan Perry started playing alongside his nine-year-old brother Kyle at local blues clubs. In 2006, their little sister Kaya joined the band, starting her drumming career at the age of seven. The precocious siblings have come of age, earning a Blues Music Award nomination and playing shows all over the US, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean. Their instrumental prowess and deep connection to the roots of the blues have impressed even B.B. King himself, who's said, "in my 82 years, I've never seen something musically... so remarkable." They've been featured on NPR, PBS, CBS Sunday Morning
, NBC's Today Show
, BET and more. The youngest band ever to compete in the International Blues Challenge or sign with a major record label, the Homemade Jamz Blues Band are seasoned veterans before their time, and the sky's the limit for these three talented young musicians.
