Two blues giants take to the stage for this incredible installment of Jazz at Lincoln Center's Blues Series. Grammy-winner John Hammond has been singing and playing blues guitar since the '60s, paling around and collaborating with the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Duane Allman and Dr. John. Known for his resonator guitar and barrelhouse-style vocals, Hammond is a recent inductee into the Blues Hall of Fame. The British-born blues guitarist John Mayall boasts an equally impressive musical resume, headed by his time as the leader of the highly influential group John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers. With that outfit, Mayall worked with everyone from Eric Clapton, Peter Green and Mick Taylor to Jack Bruce, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood. This show offers a rare opportunity to see two living legends of the blues under one roof.
