Ronnie Laws: Jazz-Funk Sax
From his early-'70s gigs with Quincy Jones, Ramsey Lewis, Earth, Wind & Fire and his brother -- famed flutist Hubert Laws -- legendary sax player Ronnie Laws has always kept his sound soulful. Often listed on Billboard's Contemporary Jazz chart, he was a major driver of the jazz-funk fusion era, with more than 20 albums released and hits like "Always There," "Every Generation" and "Tomorrow." He and his horn are set to perform at B.B. King Blues Club in New York, no doubt with cuts from his funk-filled December 2017 release Friends & Strangers.
