William Bell's Memphis Soul Revue
Winner of a 2017 Grammy for Best Americana Album, William Bell's This Is Where I Live wrangled a bunch of new fans for this soul legend, who's also a member of the Memphis Music Hall of Fame, brought his retro cool to the White House in 2013 and was featured with Snoop Dogg in the documentary Take Me To The River. But Bell may be most famous for co-writing one of the most covered songs in blues-rock history, "Born Under a Bad Sign." Versions of that tune have been recorded by greats like Eric Clapton and Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Etta James, and even Homer Simpson. Now he's bringing his Memphis Soul Revue to B.B. King Blues Club in New York.
