Bartók Concerto Highlights Carnegie Classical Concert
As part of its Carnegie Hall series, The Orchestra Now presents Bartók's virtuosic and energetic Concerto for Two Pianos, Percussion and Orchestra. Grammy Award-winning pianist Peter Serkin and 2011 Andrew Wolf Chamber Music Award-winner Anna Polonsky provide their expertise on the ebony and ivory keys. Also on the program is László Lajtha's Symphony No. 7, Revolution, full of colorful passion and soaring notes; and Ahmed Adnan Saygun's grand, dark Symphony No. 4. Leon Botstein conducts from the podium on Carnegie's Perelman Stage.
