Intrusion: One-Woman Show Explores Sexual Violence
Set in the year 2038, Intrusion exists in a world where sexual violence has been wiped out -- or so it seems, until a woman comes forward to report that she's been raped. This new solo show by Qurrat Ann Kadwani (They Call Me Q) finds the award-winning actress-writer exploring every aspect of the topic through eight different characters, including a journalist, prosecutor, psychologist and the narrator, a college student who's encouraging others to speak out. BeyondCriticism.com calls the piece "exhaustively researched, artfully assembled and acted to perfection," and now this Fringe Festival favorite is coming to New York's St. Luke's Theater for an off-Broadway run.
