Junk Shakespeare: Shakespeare + Extreme Food = Hilarious
Shakespeare and extreme food challenges -- you probably never thought you'd see those two topics in the same sentence. It's hard to imagine Laurence Olivier performing Hamlet's immortal "to be, or not to be" monologue while chowing down on a scorching habanero pepper, but rumor has it that old Will had a sweet tooth, so the cast of Junk Shakespeare has dreamed up a whole new school of Shakespearean interpretation: eating extreme junk food while attempting to perform some of Shakespeare's greatest masterpieces. Set in a hidden library bursting at the seams with thousands of books, this show brings chaotic hilarity in the form of famous character impressions, pop culture references and Pop Rocks. Plus, each show is different, depending on what offensive combination of foods the cast is forced to eat. Experience Shakespeare like you've never seen him at The Lounge in the Theater District of Times Square.
