Manhattan Concert Productions Presents Mozart's Coronation Mass
Manhattan Concert Productions presents Mozart's Mass in C Major "Coronation Mass" (K.317) performed by the Masterwork Festival Chorus, and soloists with the New York City Chamber Orchestra and Grammy Award-winning conductor Jerry Blackstone. Guest Conductor Jerry Blackstone received two Grammy Awards ("Best Choral Performance" and "Best Classical Album") as chorusmaster for the critically acclaimed Naxos recording of William Bolcom's monumental Songs of Innocence and of Experience. The concert at Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall will also feature the National Children's Festival Chorus, conducted by Anthony Trecek-King. Under his direction, choirs have been called "angelic and dazzling" by the Boston Globe, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan heralds it as "superb," and conductor Federico Cortese lauds BCC as "one of the emerging forces in Boston music life."
