April 23 & 30, 2014: The Jazz Gallery Mentoring Series Vol. 1, Edition 1 – Jaleel Shaw & Elena Pinderhughes
In this new series, young and emerging artists are paired with more experienced jazz artists who will provide mentorship in music performance, composition and improvisation as well as in music business and career development. Program will culminate in each apprentice performing with their mentor in an ensemble over a series of four evenings at The Jazz Gallery. Jaleel Shaw (alto saxophone) and Elena Pinderhughes (flute/vocals) are the first pair presented.
