Peter Pan Gets a Dreamlike, Grown-Up Spin in Peter/Wendy
Jeremy Bloom's "Peter/Wendy" is like a bedtime story for adults. This immersive and imaginative treatment of J.M. Barrie's classic Peter Pan text is a far cry from the "happily ever after"-style cartoon we all grew up with. This dark and bare-boned look into Neverland shows you the boy who never grew up as he battles inner demons more dangerous than pirates and Indians in search of the ultimate adventure. Real world woes and obstacles are revealed as the pixie dust settles. Bloom also weaves in elements of Barrie's lesser-known The Little White Bird, the prequel to Peter Pan. The magical journey takes flight at Corner Office NYC Theater.
