Puccini's Turandot at the Met Opera
Staged among Met Opera's magnificent re-creation of an ancient Imperial Palace, Puccini's Turandot is the tale of an icy Chinese royal and a clever prince who must solve three riddles to thaw her heart. The stakes are high in this masterwork -- one wrong answer will spell death for the prince. This cherished Franco Zeffirelli production stars Oksana Dyka and Martina Serafin in in the role of the ice princess and Aleksandrs Antonenko as the prince. Maria Agresta, Hei-Kyung Hong and James Morris are among the other remarkable artists. Turandot features some of opera's most famous melodies, including the immortal tenor aria "Nessun Dorma." Enjoy the show at New York's famed Metropolitan Opera House with an included glass of champagne or nonalcoholic beverage.
