Terrence McNally's Master Class
Maria Callas was perhaps the world's most celebrated and controversial Diva in the world of opera. Tony-winning playwright Terrence McNally's Master Class takes you to one of her lessons at Julliard in 1972, where three aspiring singers meet, and clash, with the great artist. At once funny, uplifting, and poignant, this examination of love, passion and art soars to the heights as the fading star's attempts to inject passion into her students' work and lives. Fall Artist in Residence, opera singer Christina Lamberti, stars as Callas with a cast of students from the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at the Rogers Center for the Arts.
