'90s Alt-Rockers Toad the Wet Sprocket ("All I Want")
Though named after a goofy Monty Python sketch, Toad the Wet Sprocket proved to be no joke when the Santa Barbara alternative band's album, Fear, went platinum in 1991. With bright, jangly guitar chords reminiscent of REM and tender, evocative lyrics, Toad hits such as "All I Want" and "Walk on the Ocean" became the stuff of many a mixtape as well as soundtracks for films ranging from Buffy the Vampire Slayer to So I Married an Axe Murderer. After 25 years of performing, the four-piece continues to bring their mellow, melodic folk-pop to sold-out venues around the world. Check them out at the Libbey Bowl in Ojai.
