In a fishing lodge in rural Tilghman County, Georgia, two Englishmen arrive as guests, the painfully shy Charlie and the gregarious Froggy. Charlie attempts to avoid social interaction with the colorful locals by passing himself off as a foreigner who doesn’t speak a word of English. Since the town is full of conspiracies and secrets whirling around, he immediately overhears things that make it impossible for him to reveal the truth. Yet he still manages to expose a fraudulent preacher, save a dull-witted boy’s inheritance, rescue a widow’s home, solve his own personality problems, and even get the girl!
