It's alive! Palo Alto Players presents Young Frankenstein, Mel Brooks' Broadway hit based on his classic 1974 movie. Brooks reunited with the creative team behind The Producers for a comedic re-imagining of the Frankenstein story. Follow young Dr. Frankenstein (pronounced "Fronkensteen") as he tries to complete his grandfather's work and bring a corpse back to life. He's aided by the hunchbacked, bulging-eyed Igor, his beautiful lab assistant, Inga and an eccentric housekeeper, Frau Blucher. Featuring larger-than-life characters and hilariously catchy tunes like "Transylvania Mania," "He Vas My Boyfriend" and "Puttin' on the Ritz," Young Frankenstein is guaranteed to produce monstrous laughs. We enjoyed the play very much. It was well acted & the set was fantastic. The costumes & changes were also clever. Both actors had great energy & excellent repartee. It was nice to see a play about the tenement houses & immigrants of New York.
