Heavy Metal Master Geoff Tate: Operation: Mindcrime 30th Anniversary
Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Geoff Tate is widely considered to be one of the most skilled vocalists in rock music, and his work with heavy metal band Queensryche, which he fronted for more than 30 years to great critical and commercial acclaim, bears that out. Their acclaimed 1988 album Operation: Mindcrime has been hailed as one of the greatest concept albums ever written. Featuring thrashers like "I Remember Now," "Revolution Calling", "I Don't Believe In Love" and "Eyes Of A Stranger," the story follows Nikki, a heroin addict who ends up in a secret organization of revolutionaries. Now, Tate and his electric band are taking over The Rose in Pasadena, where he'll perform the iconic album in its entirety.
