Tony Award-winning stage and screen actors Al Pacino and Judith Light join forces for a powerful new drama in development at The Pasadena Playhouse. Pacino, the Oscar- and Emmy-winning star of blockbusters like Scent of a Woman, Scarface and Angels in America, takes on the role of Tennessee Williams in God Looked Away, a powerful bio-drama that offers a glimpse at the prolific playwright's turbulent life. The play follows a tortured Williams as he works to open his final production, A House Not Meant to Stand, while dealing with his internal struggles between creation and addiction, love and sex, immediate satisfaction and eternal legacy. TV and theater star Light (Transparent, Other Desert Cities) joins Pacino in God Looked Away, directed by Robert Allan Ackerman (Salome).
