The Yardbirds' Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck may've been the first dual lead guitarists in rock, but Wishbone Ash have been double shredding it since then, perfecting the harmony twin guitar sound and still touring today. In fact, the band's hardly left the road since their first successful self-titled release in 1970, even with a variety of personnel changes. An acknowledged influence on other legendary groups like Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden and Lynyrd Skynyrd, Wishbone Ash is currently led by founding member Andy Powell, who handles lead vocals and trades licks with Yorkshire's Mark Abrahams. Within the past few years they've released their 24th studio album, Blue Horizon
, along with a live tour CD and a rockumentary DVD, plus they headline annual fan fests in the UK and the US. Now they're coming to The Rose in Pasadena.
