Broadway Hit The Mountaintop Re-Imagines the Last Night of Dr. Martin Luther King
Set in Memphis in 1968, gripping drama The Mountaintop envisions the events taking place the night before Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s assassination. Winner of London's Olivier Award for Best New Play, this Broadway hit begins as King finishes delivering his unforgettable "I've Been to the Mountaintop" speech. Exhausted, he retires to room 306 at the Lorraine Motel where he encounters a mysterious and spirited stranger as an epic storm rages outside. The Philadelphia Inquirer says the show "exceeds all expectations."
