Celebratory Concert Honors Children, Elders & the Arts: The Leap to Flame Dream Show
Music and art should be shared and enjoyed by the entire community -- that's the message of The Leap to Flame Dream Show, a celebratory evening of music and encouragement that spans generations as it honors children, elders and the arts. The show features performances by positivity-focused group The Max Ribner Band, children's ensemble Youth Music Empowerment and the Four Winds Foundation. The Max Ribner Band is an 11-piece collective offering gospel, soul and jazz music deeply rooted in peace, compassion and healing. There won't be a dry eye in the house as Ribner then introduces the Youth Music Empowerment, a choir of empowered children ages 5 to 15 who'll perform the inspiring songs they've written themselves. The show also includes a performance by Elder Sweet Medicine, who'll offer Native American wisdom, storytelling and ceremony.

The Alberta Rose Theater is a great, intimate seated venue located residential area of North Portland. Parking is a challenge but worth the attending if there's someone you want to see. Look forward to returning.star this tip starred
Super hip and casual. There are food and drinks available at venue, but the theater is in a great neighborhood to grab a bite before - the pizza place on the opposite corner is good or Thai Noon just down the street. There was plenty of on street parking in the area.star this tip starred
