The Soul Rebels: Modern Eight-Piece Brass Band From New Orleans
Described by the Village Voice as "the missing link between Public Enemy and Louis Armstrong," the Soul Rebels mix funk, second line, pop, hip-hop, go-go, rock and even reggae into their signature take on street-wise jazz and brass music. The eight-piece, New Orleans-based brass band has gone from a local N.O. favorite to collaborations with Metallica, Green Day, George Clinton, Galactic, Juvenile, Slick Rick, Trombone Shorty, Irma Thomas, Roy Hargrove and countless others. The group's electric live shows are the stuff of legend, showcasing the power of horns and percussion in a funky, party-like atmosphere that gets everybody groovin'.

The Alberta Rose Theater is a great, intimate seated venue located residential area of North Portland. Parking is a challenge but worth the attending if there's someone you want to see. Look forward to returning.star this tip starred
Super hip and casual. There are food and drinks available at venue, but the theater is in a great neighborhood to grab a bite before - the pizza place on the opposite corner is good or Thai Noon just down the street. There was plenty of on street parking in the area.star this tip starred
